The Fall of Hate is under way...

So, if you're familiar with the series, you know I like to add at least one map to each book in the series. The map for The Fall of Hate (Graelon) is now done. :) Over the weekend I buttoned down the following chapters:

Durial's Justice (you get to find out what that plain silver rod does)

Thrice Broken

When Even Love is Laid Down

The Instrument of Humanity's Hate

And started the following chapters:

Damon's Curse

Tabby's Star (you should google this one...)

Welcome to New York Part II

I'm not ready to declare that I'm on a 'roll' yet, but writing begets writing.  And, strong writing begets astonishing content.  I'm so glad I kept great notes when inspiration came and that I had a clear pathway all the way to the end of the story (Book 5).  Those two things have made writing this book incredibly easy when compared to A Kingdom Forgotten.

I'm not ready to announce a release date or anything like that.  Check back later for that.  However, it's moving nicely and every time I write on The Fall of Hate, I'm duly impressed with the quality of the content and the expressiveness and emotion in the writing.  If you've read Black Mirrors of the Soul, it's better than that.  Yeah, that's a pretty damn high bar and I'm very proud of where this is heading.

I've mentioned this before, but it's worth mentioning again... This is a crossover!  So, if you've grown accustomed to the Epic Fantasy side, I hate to disappoint you, but this book has a heavy dose of sci-fi to it with hard science behind it.  Some might welcome that.  Others may not, but I'm writing this story to give intellectual grownups something meaty to chew on for a change as opposed to something they can figure out in an afternoon at the coffee table.

I'm going to be throwing a lot of science terms at you, but I'm also going to expand the glossary quite a bit to keep up with it.  There's still going to be a lot of the fantastic, magic, and so forth.  It's still going to look and feel like A Throne of Souls, but it's going to also feel like A Throne of Souls took a serious evolutionary step forward.  Stay tuned.
